The film translated into more languages than any other is the “JESUS” film. I encourage you to visit the website of the Jesus Film Project. This movie is the book of Luke acted out. Over 1,500 different Christian agencies have used the “JESUS” film since it was produced in 1979 and in that time frame there have been over 5 billion viewings of the film.
Many mission experts have acclaimed the “JESUS” film as one of the greatest evangelistic success stories of all time. The ultimate success of this project won’t be measured by how many people have already seen it, but by how many will follow Him after seeing this film.
The site has statistics that are mind blowing and stories that will really touch your heart.
It is hard to grasp the scope of all the ministries that fall under Campus Crusade for Christ. I think one way to help our supporters see what Crusade does is to start featuring some of the ministries that have a web presence – here at our site. I’m going to try and get a link up at least once a month to a different Crusade Ministry. Since you are here, you are already on the web so checking these ministries out is just a click away.
Impact XXI Is a Crusade ministry that does a lot. It reaches people who are influencers for Christ. It also works with influencers to use that influence for eternal impact. An example of this are the Secret’s of Success television programs. They are programs that are paid for by supporters involved with Impact XXI. They feature people invovled with Impact XXI. They present success from a Godly perspective and have exposed millions of people all over the world to the gospel. This is an extremely exciting ministry. It is relatively small in numbers of Crusade staff but is having a huge impact on this planet. It reminds me of how Crusade began- thinking strategically. Those few Crusade staff are leveraging opportunities to do work that vastly exceeds their size. We cannot wait to get to Orlando so that we can be a part of keeping this ministry up and running.
Well, we are off and running in 2005. This is set to be an exciting year. It will be our last year in Phoenix. We look forward to finishing our support this year and making the big move. We are currently at 37% and are working hard to make progress. Please continue to pray for us– that is the real work that will get things done.
Campus Crusade for Christ staff are among some of the first responders in the crisis in Asia, since they were already there. You can read about it here. And there is a link to donate to the relief fund for those affected. In the days to come I am sure that the magnitude of this disaster will be overwhelming. We thank God that all Crusade staff appear to have survived, and pray that this event will open doors for the gospel.
Well, Ingrid and I just got back from a few days in San Juan Capistrano, CA. We were there for Crusade Training and it was very good. We had time to get some rest, refocus and refine some of our methods for raising support.
We drove out on Saturday and checked in to the conference on Sunday afternoon. Sunday morning we visited Saddleback Church. It was really a great time. We enjoyed the worship and the message. It was all about how believers need to share the good news with the people around them. And that is the bottom line. We are all surrounded by people who have a great need, and we can tell them the solution to that need.
We continue to move forward in raising our support. We are now at 26%. We have fallen about a month behind our goal, but we are firm in our belief that God will provide. We are doing our best to be faithful to our part in the process.
We are now at 21%. This is just a touch off of our earlier pace, but that is not unusual. Things seem to move in jumps and starts- rather than a consistent flow. We are confident in God’s provision and His faithfulness to our endeavour.
The guest speaker at Church yesterday delivered an extremely dynamic sermon on faith. It really spoke to my heart and was a great reminder of what an awesome God we serve. He is more than capable of meeting our every need, even small ones like financial stuff. (They seem big sometimes but really in the big picture, there are so many things of much greater importance.)
We continue to move forward. We are now at 17% of our total goal for monthly support. It has been incredible to see how God brings new partners along side of us in this ministry. We look forward to turning that investment into work that will impact people all over the globe.
God has been good, taking care of us and helping us to make good use of our time. We are so glad that He is in charge of this whole process, because we certainly wouldn’t be smart enough to work out all the details. We are seeing how He provides for each new situation and makes provision for events before we even know they will take place. It’s very exciting and humbling.
Well, it was a good week on the team building front. God has blessed us greatly and we are very excited about what has been happening. We had a good number join our ministry team this week and we were very encouraged. We are now a touch above 10% on reaching our total support.
This last week we had the opportunity to share our ministry with a small group, in the home of one of our supporters. It was a great time with fellowship, some information about our ministry and ice cream. Ingrid and I tell everyone a bit about Crusade and what our role will be in Florida. Later, we contact those who were there to see if they would like to be a part of our support team. It was just an awesome time and we all had fun. If you think you might like to do something like this in your home, give us a call. We’d love to set it up!
Keep praying for us- that we would have the energy to keep up the pace, and that we would use our time wisely. Let us know how we can pray for you. Prayer is the one thing none of us can do without.
Well, we are at 7% on raising support! We thank God for His faithfulness in getting us this far and look to Him to provide the rest. This months prayer letter is going out today. Keep an eye out for it in your mailbox. This month’s issue has cute kid goodness in it!
Can we pray for you? Would you like other members of our ministry team to pray for you as well? Shoot an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know how we can pray and to what extent we can share your request with others. Those requests for the whole team will be put up on the site. You can also call us or write if you don’t want to e-mail.
